KFW lowers interest rates for energy-efficient renovation to 1 percent
The KfW banking group currently grants promotional loans for energy-efficient renovations at an effective annual interest rate of 1.00 percent for all terms.
In addition, there is a repayment grant of 2.5 percent to 12.5 percent for particularly energy-saving conversions. For example, with a loan of 75,000 euros for a conversion to [KfW-Effizienzhaus 55], 9,375 euros have to be repaid less.
Private builders and homeowners' associations who do not want to take out a loan for the energy modernization of their condominium or single- and two-family house can alternatively apply for an investment grant of up to 17.5 percent (max. 13,125 euros per completed apartment) from KfW.
KfW also promotes energy-efficient new buildings with very favorable loans and repayment grants. In the [Programm Energieeffizient Bauen], the effective annual interest rates currently range between 1.51 percent and 2.02 percent. Almost every second newly built apartment in Germany is now supported with ["Energieeffizient Bauen"].
