Kfw 261 or 461 - Repayment grant or direct payment

The bank advisor I trust told me that the grant only has three fixed payment dates left - one per year and always in January.

A total of 3x opportunities, I think they also don’t want an approved subsidy to be claimed after many years...

However, it is only paid out 1x per year in January, so for example an application for the grant with KfW today:
1. Payment opportunity January 2022
2. Payment opportunity January 2023
3. Payment opportunity January 2024

It may be that there is an additional year in between because it might be unrealistic not to have started construction today yet to be finished by January.

The prerequisite for payment is of course always the corresponding proof from the energy consultant after completion of the house.

So if I start building today and then submit the proof perhaps in July 2022, the grant will still only be paid out in January 2023.

Long story short, payment 6-8 weeks after submitting the proof is probably no longer the case but rather fixed payment dates according to the calendar.

This applies to the repayment bonus for the loan (after 2, 3, and 5 years following approval, if I remember correctly). Not for the pure grant option.

After approval, you only have two years to implement the project. With an application / justification, you can extend it.

What you write contradicts the Kfw's own information. Maybe you should ask them directly and not trust the bank...
