So I looked it up again, it actually does say in the regulation for us as well.

b) to remove grass and weeds insofar as they grow from cracks and crevices in the road surface.

I let it grow until someone complains. I keep the gutter and the channel clear, I don't want the water to not drain, but the moss in the joints remains and the chamomile between the wall, the junction box, and the lamppost as well. It doesn't bother anyone and is not really removable mechanically. The sown ground cover plants stay until they become too big or I need them.

I think it's good, we live in the village, so no one minds. The next goat lives three properties away. I just have to convince my better half, the kids would be happy.

A goat eats everything... and prefers the things it is not supposed to eat.

There are special quartz mixtures for that. If applied generously, it should at least last a few years or make weed removal easier.
