Kabel Deutschland or Telekom or both

we are facing the decision Kabel Deutschland or Telekom or both?
What would you recommend here?
Unfortunately, Telekom has just raised the price to €799.
Can anyone confirm that?

Without Telekom via Kabel Deutschland, you are firmly tied to Vodafone. Keep that in mind.
What a Telekom connection costs, if you take it inside as most do, you easily save through satellite TV.
For me, there is no alternative to Telekom. Especially since they lay fiber to the home for the 400,- I took the contract. That provides high speed internet.

outside means above ground who still does that? where can I find the 400€ discount, what kind of plan is that? unfortunately, fiber optic is not available for me, only 50MBIT VDSL.

Outside means, as before, the connection box is on the outside of the house wall. Cable is not necessarily required to be above ground. But nobody does that anymore. I hesitated because it actually works, but then said no, I want it inside after all, especially since fiber to the home is being installed inside - for us. Not everywhere all the time. The welcome offer can be found at the Telekom building owners’ service. The friendly advisor offered it to me on the phone when I contacted them with a request for an order form. I think it’s also somewhere on the web. Just don’t remember where. It was also stated in the order form.

Is it sufficient if there is a fiber optic line in the house (financed by the Bavarian state here in the village) that ends at a box in the utility room? Or is an additional Telekom connection for phone/internet required?

Even at Telekom, there will only be All-IP in the future. Nothing is better than fiber optic, what else could you possibly need?
