Junior Architect/Planner wanted (student etc.)

Hello everyone,

let me briefly introduce myself. My name is Thomas, I am 28 years old and I had planned to build a small single-family house in 2012. The plot is available, I already secured it given the current interest rates.

Since I want to take a lot, lot of time (and can), I am currently working on the planning. Unfortunately, my girlfriend still can’t quite get used to my ideas – I’m blaming it on the lack of imagination ;)

Therefore, I am looking for someone – a hobby architect/student or ... who knows how to use the appropriate programs well enough to draw or create the shell of the building according to my ideas. The drawing does not have to be exact or 100%. I would like to use the drawing later to approach the builders to get an offer.

If anyone knows someone who could do this for me cheaply, I would be extremely grateful ;)

Hello, If I were you, I would simply make an appointment with a [Bauträger] and they will draw it up according to your wishes. Even before you sign anything or decide on them. That’s how we did it too. We are currently running from one to the other and they are just designing it. The only thing you should know is roughly the floor plan, but you can experiment a bit and still make changes later.

thanks for your reply. I'm a bit reluctant to bother the developers with it - but basically, you are right. I made the floor plan with floorplaner (free web application). Unfortunately, I quickly reached the limits of what is possible and of my abilities.

Just a question out of curiosity - do they also give you the files for it or just a printout?
