It doesn't matter who earns what. If this terrible case occurs, both can benefit. Because it is simply not easy. We pay around 27 euros for 2 people.

Do you have variable or fixed amounts? Ours is fixed, but not high.

we are still looking into it at the moment. the term life insurances advertise that the entry fee is relatively cheap, but it can increase significantly from the 2nd year onwards. it's apparently called "überschussbeteiligung". to what extent do you normally pay the lower amount instead of the higher one from the 2nd year? can someone say how much more they pay compared to the 1st year?! are there perhaps statistics on this? because €12 per month for €150,000 security over 20 years seems reasonable and good to me, whereas €32 seems quite steep.

For the offers we have received, 1/3 of the contribution is deducted (allocation surplus share). This then gives the "payable contribution in the 1st year". Below that, the note: "The amount of the allocation surplus shares cannot be guaranteed".

I already know this from my occupational disability insurance, where I have been paying for 3 years and the allocation surplus share is fairly consistent.
