Dead is dead.... Surely, it is about covering debts after death.

There are dozens of providers. You should get advice here, answer health questions & hobbies truthfully (skiing, diving, etc.), and then conclude the contract.

A term life insurance is reasonably priced. We chose a decreasing sum that corresponds to the repayment behavior of the loan. That also reduces the cost a bit.

Why your husband? Why not mutually?

We have received an offer from the insurer of the financing bank. Of course, it depends on various parameters, but it really doesn’t cost a fortune. In our case, for both together, 34 EUR per month.

Would only do it if you couldn't afford the installment on your own.

We went through comparison portals. As a tip, we were advised to take out 2 term life insurances for half the amount each when dealing with high sums. This way, you stay under the thresholds for extensive health examinations, and companies find it easier to handle claims in case of damage. My wife pays ~200 euros per year.
