Hello everyone,
our plot has a specified ridge direction, but there is nothing about the roof shape in the development plan... Do you think it’s somehow possible? Does anyone have experience with this? The architect said it would be possible...
Thanks

And we laypeople are supposed to know more than the architect?

It ultimately depends on the exact development plan, the surroundings, and the building authority itself - and then the question remains: Don’t you trust your architect? That would be bad...

I did write that the development plan says nothing about the roof shape... It only shows the line for the ridge direction. But I trust the architect; it depends on the building authority, who will then reject or approve the building application. I just want to get information in advance, you know how it is!

Without knowing the development plan in detail, your question cannot be answered. The architect owes you an approvable plan. If the development plan is the basis of this planning, it defines all specifications. Deviations and exceptions from it are generally not foreseen; they must then be applied for and justified. If there is no valid development plan, the type and scope of the construction project must be coordinated with the authorities in a preliminary building inquiry with reference to §34 Baugesetzbuch. Details of the building and planning regulations can be mutually negotiated with a certain "room for interpretation" between the planner and the authorities.

You should trust the statements of your architect or hire another architect. However, no one can dispel your fundamental mistrust of architects or authorities.
