Is the radiator already broken just by leaning on it?

Hello everyone,

first of all, I have to say that I am not a property owner, but I found this forum and thought it might be suitable to possibly get some help. I hope you are still kind enough and can help me.

My question may seem a bit silly or even trivial, but somehow I am uncertain.

So: I live in a small freshly renovated student room. The bathroom was also newly done and all devices including a new wall-mounted towel radiator. Today I took a shower and briefly leaned against the radiator and noticed a slight movement on the radiator. I was a bit shocked and checked if everything was okay. Everything looks fine so far, except for two things. Picture 1 is at the top at the wall mount, there is this, I’ll call it a cap, that somehow is not properly in, on the other side it is properly in. But I can’t press it in, it sits quite firmly.

And Picture 2, those are probably caps too, they are simply loose. Is that supposed to be like that? If it’s important, the radiator hangs on a drywall and there are tiles on it as well.

Could I have broken something? Could it become dangerous if so? I know it sounds silly, but I am quite anxious about it. Maybe someone can help me there.

There won’t be anything there ;-)

Otherwise, there are personal liability insurances for damage to rented items.

Please do not mess with him here.

Picture two shows so-called rosettes that cover the wall openings. They may be loose.

The mount at the top should be firm. If it wobbles a little, not a problem.

In case of damage: call the private liability insurance.
