Is the drywall installer allowed to smoke?

What a compulsive neurotic pedagogical fuss! I say that as a non-smoker. The man smokes. That’s none of the builders’ business. He does his job and leaves and nothing remains. Maybe he also eats sausage bread and drinks a beer, which as a vegan and teetotaler you absolutely must not tolerate.

Um, sorry,... but when the bricklayer/site manager was here, it smelled like smoke for days. And there were cigarette butts everywhere. I was glad that we had a different craftsman for the fine plastering.

But the sausage sandwich doesn’t seep into the walls. He can smoke as much as he wants, but not in a tightly sealed house. And you can politely phrase that as a request – I think. If he says he can’t work anymore then, well, then he should just smoke out the window. Or you could give him a pack of nicotine patches and gum per day.
