No, not Bitcoins.

Play money for a computer game. Sold to Chinese as a service. The 40k would be payable if it were not a service and thus VAT would be due retrospectively.

Well, if there is another drop in income of this magnitude next year, I am pessimistic. Such "jumps" at least require explanation.

And as for where the money comes from, I just refer to AO and GWG.

So, it's none of their business.

Everything is "cleanly" earned.

We both have had our permanent jobs for over 7 years. That's where the approx. 50k net per year comes from. That hasn't changed in recent years either. The "additional" money was properly taxed and is clearly shown in the tax returns where it comes from. It would be no different in the case of a gift or inheritance. In the self-disclosures I had to submit to the bank, I only had to provide the December statement from my employer of the previous year; this money doesn't appear there but is simply confirmed as equity via bank statements.

However, I will still write to my bank again and clarify things. That's definitely a good hint. But I can't imagine that this would be seen as a negative point. Maybe I'm just too naive, so thanks for the tip anyway.

Hello Krakra,

in your case, I would apply for a loan through the Ing-Diba. Even if you build in a buffer of 50,000 euros and apply for a loan of 150,000 euros, you are currently at an interest rate of 1.4% nominal interest. With 3% repayment, you will then have a monthly rate of 550 euros. However, you can vary this repayment rate between 1-10% without giving reasons. As long as both incomes are still there, i.e., increase repayment to up to 10% and with the special repayment of 5%, then 15% repayment per year would be possible. When the child is born, you can reduce the repayment to 1% and thus reduce the monthly rate to 300 euros.

Best regards, Andreas
