Is my central controlled residential ventilation working correctly?

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding the controlled residential ventilation (Westaflex, central with heat recovery and bypass function):

Inside (exhaust air temperature 24°C) Outside 35°C Setpoint room temperature 20°C

Actually, with these values, the hot outside air should flow through the heat exchanger to cool it with the "only" 24°C air. Unfortunately, the hot outside air bypasses the heat exchanger: bypass flap active)

How is it with you?

It depends on how the bypass flap is controlled. If it has priority, then it always opens at the set outside temperature. You can forget about "cooling" via the heat exchanger. That is a marketing gimmick.

I know that already, but it's definitely better than blowing 35°C directly into it

*Edit* I just realized that I created my thread in the wrong subforum --> please move it to Controlled Residential Ventilation with Heat Recovery, THANK YOU!

If you try to cool the 35-degree outside air with your 24-degree indoor air, you will not have just 24 degrees inside for long. Because your indoor air is limited...

Currently, however, 24°C goes directly out and 35°C comes in directly uncooled (without passing through the heat exchanger), this option is even worse. The ventilation system is not off, but runs 24/7

If I read it correctly, the bypass of your controlled residential ventilation should be able to switch automatically. That means something is not working: it is jammed, incorrectly connected, poor control, defective sensor..
