Hello,
I plan to renovate the parental home. New windows are to be installed in the basement, ground floor, and attic (1st floor). Furthermore, the roof will be re-covered and insulated on the rafters. New heating system, thermal storage/collectors.
So quite a bit to do. The house has 2 residential units, namely the ground floor and the attic; the hallway is basically the staircase, so I should be correct here.
I have already spoken with 2 energy consultants about this. The first time it was said that it would be possible to take out a loan from KfW of up to €50,000 per residential unit.
- So €50,000 for ground floor/basement - windows/heating
- And €50,000 for attic/roof windows/roof
Problem:
The 2nd energy consultant spoke with my father on the phone and as I see it now, unlike the 1st consultant, he said my 2nd residential unit is invalid or I cannot currently apply for it.
Reason:
The attic (1st floor) and attic space are not currently used; they have never been fully developed. Basically, all interior/wall partitions are built, of course windows are already in;). However, nowhere is plastered, no heating, no screed laid, no roof insulation, you can see the tiles directly. Electricity and water connection are available...
Can anyone help me here? This would mean I cannot claim a KfW loan to newly insulate/re-roof the attic?
Thank you
