Hello people, I wanted to have a stove installed in my new building. Thought my girlfriend would like it quite a bit. However, I didn't think about installing a chimney during the construction. Is something like that expensive? And can you install something like that in any living room? Do I even have to have a chimney? Can someone maybe help me???

Hello bibi, so I have a stove in my living room and I can only recommend it to you. In winter you can sit nicely in front of it and comfortably read a book... However, the whole thing is also a bit of an expensive pleasure, because the stove alone costs a lot of money. However, I can say that my heating costs have decreased as a result...

You are absolutely right, Uschi, it is definitely a great thing to lie in front of the fireplace and relax, but I cannot believe that the costs have decreased, because wood is not cheap either when you calculate it over a month. I would not run my household on the stove..

I don’t run my household only with my stove.. But I use it a lot and once the stove is on, the heat stays for several hours... I think a heater would not retain heat that long... And wood is not as expensive as people always think...

Ok then I probably misunderstood you a bit..But if you say that it is much cheaper than people usually think then I want to believe you...But now back to Bibi's questions...So I think you can have everything retrofitted if you want to....Nowadays you can get everything done...You should inquire with the construction companies about it..I haven't done it yet and therefore I can't tell you exactly....

Hello bib, so I had an oven built.. I only decided later... Of course, no funny costs will come to you... But if you want something and nothing is too expensive for your girlfriend, you can do it once-- And you have it for longer...
