Hello,

we now have a date for when our house is supposed to be ready for occupancy. Now I was wondering if it is possible to paint the bedrooms and lay the floor on the upper floor in parallel with the tiler? Or does one have to coordinate with the trade? Of course in such a way that you don’t get in the way of the craftsman. Would something like that be possible? It would also save time.

Yes, no problem. There are always many people working in parallel. However, if it is a developer, I would obtain permission.

There are contracts that state the construction is considered accepted as soon as work on own contribution begins. So better clarify with the general contractor that this does not apply to you....

Hi, if it’s not a property developer, why not. But I would discuss it with the BU beforehand. Olli

Our general contractor had prohibited this in his contract. It would have only been possible after partial acceptance.

After the tiler, painters, stair builders, and installer/electrician for fine installation may still come. What if your floor is scratched the next day, then everyone will want to deny responsibility.
