Is it possible to set corner stones / L-shaped stones in winter?

Hello. We had an appointment with a garden landscaper who told us that setting 1m high angle stones or L-stones would only make sense from spring onwards. We had thought that they could also be set in winter. The garden landscaper said that there could then be problems with the foundation, especially with the concrete. It apparently needs a certain outside temperature to cure properly. What do you think about that?

Your garden landscaper is right. "Normal concrete mixes should not be processed at 0° or below. It now depends on where you are building or how cold it gets there.

We are building in NRW. Currently, we have 10 degrees during the day, 3 degrees at night. Of course, it sometimes gets below 0 degrees, but also sometimes a bit warmer. Couldn't the garden landscaper then wait with the implementation until a few warmer days follow? Does anyone else have an opinion on this?

When warmer days are forecast, the stones can be set.

As long as there is no frost, I also see that as uncritical

Sounds like the landscaper’s books are full and he wants to push you back, it’s not possible in the 2-3 weeks of frost every year. In the 10 weeks without frost, yes, look for another for comparison
