Is it possible to measure the kitchen in the shell construction after the interior plaster is completed?

Can the measurement for the kitchen be done already after the completion of the interior plaster and without screed? Background: The kitchen has a delivery time of about 12 weeks after ordering. We want to save time accordingly. Currently, it otherwise looks like the kitchen is the only reason why we cannot move in. Our site manager said that he recommends taking the measurement at least after the interior plaster. The screed is not so relevant, as the height can also be read from the plans. What is your opinion on this?

That very much depends on the geometry of the desired kitchen; or also on the sophistication.

Granite countertops for a U-shaped kitchen should definitely be fitting.

If you have an open L with wood-based countertops, it can be made to fit without any problems.

Also, the demands on covering corners/utilizing the last cm or working with custom-made cabinets determine to what extent you can basically take rough measurements here.

We have an L with both sides adjoining walls. On the long side, there is a block of drawers custom-made to utilize the last cm. It was useful to know the actual installation measurement beforehand.

We have a U-shape with 2 sides against the wall, 1 side freestanding. The countertop is wood-based. We do not have custom-made items, but standard variants. I think that should not be a problem. The point here is to weigh whether it makes sense to wait, especially considering the long waiting time.

The reasoning is humorous insofar as the deviations between plan and actual height are not generally smaller. Nevertheless, the carcasses are height-adjustable but not width-adjustable, so this view is basically correct in the end. But you probably don't plan to utilize every centimeter without any tolerance, do you?

ours was also measured after plastering and before screed (but since we have not installed it yet, I don't know how well it will fit afterwards)

Are you building a prefab house or a masonry one? We have a timber frame, so a prefab house, and the kitchen installer was more than astonished that he had NO deviations from his plans at all... He measured after plaster and screed, before the floor installation, but for the granite countertop and the glass backsplash, the kitchen was measured again after the cabinets were assembled. The stonemason came a week later with the finished countertop. Of course, everything fit perfectly then! 11fant is absolutely right; once the plaster is in, any deviations can only be in height, and the cabinets are already height adjustable...
