Is it possible to apply for construction power as a private individual?

My wife and I are building a prefabricated house with a basement this year. The basement construction is scheduled for KW 14 (end of March/beginning of April). We are currently in the process of commissioning the utility connections. Now, during the selection meeting with our construction company, the topic of construction electricity came up: either we coordinate the provision or they do it. Of course, not for free...

Now my question: can I, as a private person, apply for construction electricity or do I have to do it through an electrician? Does anyone have experience with this? We would like to save the 400 EUR that the construction company wants for handling it...

You are allowed to sign the contract and then pay; nothing more. Only the electrician is allowed to handle that.

Ask an electrician you trust what it would cost you to rent a construction power meter for the duration of the construction period. In my opinion, it probably won’t be significantly cheaper overall, because the electrician you then hire will have nothing to do with the further required electrical work.

Don't be mad at me - but you come across quite irritated. If the topic of ancillary construction costs had been discussed "sensibly and thoroughly," you certainly wouldn't be asking about the construction site power meter; definitely not whether you can apply for it yourself.
