Is impact sound insulation necessary in the basement?

Hello everyone,

in my basement (half open on one side, half embedded in the ground) I have a 50 sqm party room that I now want to cover with laminate. Under the screed there is underfloor heating and thermal insulation boards. The laminate itself will be an inexpensive 7mm version of the store brand from the hardware store.
Does it make sense to install impact sound insulation? There is no living space under the basement, the screed itself is decoupled by edge insulation strips. The heat transfer of the underfloor heating would also be better. Or is the noise in the room itself so bad that it becomes unpleasant?

Did the basement already have impact sound insulation installed during construction? If yes, the impact sound insulation that goes under the laminate only has a "sand grains do not crunch" function.

No, impact sound insulation is meant to reduce the transmission of noise (from walking) to the floor below. Save your money, the earthworms aren't bothered by your stomping. How loud your stomping sounds within the room depends on the material to be installed. Just glue down cheap vinyl. Laminated flooring (floating) is always "loud" in the room.

ok thanks.

Vinyl basically does not come into my house, especially not at a price per sqm of under 10 EUR.

I can understand that (regardless of the price). It was more about the fact that gluing is the "quietest" option.
