Is follow-up financing possible under these conditions?

It certainly also depends on the region. In some places, there simply are no rental apartments, and completely tearing the children away from their social environment in a divorce situation is not without risks. Could a granny flat, for example, be integrated into the house? Or could the property be divided into a two-family house?

We are talking about a 3-person household … should be doable!

Thank you also for these ideas / suggestions. I had deliberately left out emotions and topics outside of financing. Mr. X is also very factual on the subject with Mrs. X. Mrs. X is very emotional.

The house cannot be divided into further units. The environment for a sale can be described as very good. DE central, cities and the big city reachable in a few minutes, optimal infrastructure connection. You won’t stay stuck with it for long. The environment also offers many opportunities. New residential areas for rental and purchase properties (both single-family houses and condominiums) in abundance. Especially since the starting capital for Mrs. X, if sold at the forecasted price, is also not insignificant. Many probably come out of such a situation only indebted or at break-even. The construction back then was based on good financial conditions. But not everything always goes according to plan, and then a new シ is needed.

That is exactly the disaster here in our region.. Woman single parent and 2 children probably still a dog or cat then you can run. Although for 1000 euros cold you can already get something good. But then better keep the house.

Of course, one would rather keep the house. I would also prefer to drive a nice Porsche, but unfortunately the money only suffices for a representative BMW. You just have to admit that.

In the case of the ex-wife, the money then is at most enough for a condominium. Frankly, I also find such an expectation somewhat odd, thinking that with an absolutely average income one could finance such an expensive single-family house alone. Well, with the alimony from the ex, it somehow works out... Well great.

Being factual on at least one side is already a good start. With all understanding for whatever has happened, will Mrs. X also manage to get to the factual level? That will be necessary either for the sale or for alternative solutions.

You named a few options. Which of these does Mr. X want:

Actually, I am for a clean separation. Always. So option 3 with the payout. Clear cut.

Option 4 would be that the man buys the corresponding shares or even the whole house from the woman. Would something like that even be conceivable for the parties involved? But as soon as one party has reservations, regardless of whether they are factual or emotional in nature, only immediate division, payout and probably sale remain.
