Is floor plan design of the ground floor that meaningful?

The fireplace (freestanding, masonry?) then at the bottom on the wall of the pantry. For the dining room, put it on an extendable table, you don’t want to have 12 chairs standing around all the time, or do you? Otherwise, it’s quite cluttered and the room looks much smaller.

The fireplace is freestanding.
The table should of course be extendable and will mostly only be needed for 4 people. I only had it drawn that large to get a better feeling for how it would then look in the room.
The distance to the stairs in the current plan (from the entrance thread with the colorful floor plan) is actually exactly one meter.
Thanks for the suggestions, I’ll try to incorporate them, although it wouldn’t be wrong to have an emergency bedroom downstairs either.
