I always wonder why the partner takes such advantage of you then. How does that happen? I assume you could never have imagined back then that people would act like that?

Of course not. You can never imagine something like that. After three years it ended well - but there was also a hotshot lawyer on the other side. In the end, it worked out well for both sides.

So, I am now paying child support according to the Düsseldorfer Tabelle. It won’t change much, maybe it will be a little less if I have less net income after changing the tax class. What I don’t understand , you say that after the divorce I can invest money however I want. Even then, the child support can be recalculated. Of course, not constantly; I think every two years or so one can be asked to disclose income, or if it is suspected / clear that the income situation has changed. I fully agree with you that I have to be patient. Nothing is possible before the divorce or the end of the community of accrued gains anyway. The house sale must, however, be completed this year; that would probably also be the right moment to make a separation agreement at the notary, where a new apartment would no longer count towards the accrued gains.

It depends on the agreement. Our child support is fixed (except for the change at age 12). Independent of income.

Don't rush anything and handle everything (sale, divorce). You don't have to go back into ownership right away.
