Zaba, I also gave the OP an answer, then you jump in without EL ... nobody understands that, nor does it have anything to do with the initial question, although it seems to be your topic indirectly... just the opposite.

If no EL then specify the company name providing the service.

And fill it out like this until the house is finished.

If now the completion notification goes to the BG and someone comes for inspection, you just have to be lucky that none of your helpers are there and no one gets injured.

Report to the BG must be made indicating the GU (if building this way). EL is recorded through the construction log sent along with it (or if desired: one’s own construction log). And this, if I have read correctly, only needs to be sent when requested to do so.

Otherwise: a contact is provided in the cover letter. Call there and ask. I did that too (we received this after the building permit, but we hadn’t started building for a long time), they were very friendly and helpful.

Anyone who believes they are on the safe side by correctly reporting the helper hours to BG Bau should try a Google search. There are interesting contributions from Frontal21 and Welt. I’d better not say any more about the organization. But here’s a tip: If you like your helpers, insure them separately, some insurance companies offer such things, and make sure everyone has good disability insurance.

The legitimacy of the BG is not clear to me in the existing building. If I have a coffee stain in the kitchen from a friend painted over, am I supposed to report that? That would be a whole new level of paternalism, even by German standards.

Anyone who reads more deeply into the subject will often find the following example: A client with an upcoming construction project plans to schedule helpers and wants to report them to the BG with the expected hours. To be on the safe side, he provides everything in advance (the hours may later deviate slightly up or down, but that doesn't matter) and wants a confirmation from the BG that they cover any possible accidents and that his helpers are protected. To this day, despite multiple inquiries, no one has received such a confirmation, but why is that?
