Are these perhaps craftsmen who prefer to sell the expensive Vaillant or Buderus because they earn more from it?

One can easily convince oneself that craftsman group X does poor work at Town & Country and then switches mentally when they continue at the architect's house next door.

In the end, it looks like this. Everyone cooks with water, the craftsmen here in the construction area are largely the same, even though 20 different providers are building here. And what the craftsman doesn't earn at Town & Country because they push the price (can), he makes up next door. And the ones next door then think, "Oh, he is expensive, he must do really good work"... but you're just paying the walk-in customer price.

It's the same everywhere. At the tattoo artist, Mandy pays the same for her 2 characters as the regular customer does for his entire upper arm.

Don't get me wrong, but everyone obviously has their own risk appetite and ideas when it comes to finances (no satire). So, all good and your opinion on this understood.

I myself am neither building with Town & Country nor with Heinz von Heiden, but with a regional general contractor, however this "brand mania" has always been as repugnant to me as it is with cars, clothes and food. In fact, it is mostly nothing more than ripping off the customer who gladly lets himself be advised by the self-proclaimed expert and whose profit margin is additionally increased. Those who want to join in...

Exactly. And the headquarters takes 90% of the purchasing advantage and the franchisee takes another 20%. Quality does not come detached from price. However, this should not be understood as brand obsession.

Don't get me wrong... There are definitely quality differences in the various materials and building products. But whether an unrealistic price markup is justified is another matter.
