Is an integrated fully automatic coffee machine recommended?

We actually did not want a built-in fully automatic machine. However, since we do not have a suitable place in the kitchen, we will now install one after all. Unfortunately, Gaggenau has discontinued the fully automatic machine with fixed connections for fresh and wastewater. Allegedly, there were too many problems. Now it will be a "normal" one. At least the connections are arranged so that we could switch to one with fixed connections later.

Isn't there any other supplier?

Without really having a market overview now, but I think every major manufacturer has it. It's certainly like with cave fans. Everyone wants a piece of the pie. Where there is a market, they also want to have an offer.

No. To my knowledge, only (still) Miele has a fixed water connection.

Ah ok, that may well be. I wasn’t referring to the connection, just to the installation. But in that case, it makes it even worse. If only Miele does it, what happens if a replacement is due and Miele no longer does it at that time?
