Is alignment of the garage with the neighboring garage necessary?

we are currently planning to build a semi-detached house. We intend to build a 3x9m prefabricated garage, which will directly border our neighbor's garage.
My question is, do these have to be aligned flush at the front, or can we set ours further back?
Unfortunately, I cannot find anything about this in the building regulations and the development plan. A side window in the house is very important to us, which is why our garage should not be aligned with the front of the house (like the neighbor's).
