Is a soundproof door necessary in the utility room? Experiences?

If air passes through, sound will pass through as well. In that case, you might as well skip the soundproof door.

In rooms with SK doors, the controlled residential ventilation naturally requires both exhaust AND supply air. That is actually logical..

Overflow elements help. They do not have to be in the frame either, they are also available from ventilation manufacturers and also block the sound.

Hello everyone,

a quick update.

After consultation with Stiebel Eltron, the soundproof door is not a problem. The utility room is not part of the ventilation concept of the LWZ 304, and a door with a seal could be installed without any concerns. I trust this statement and have ordered the SK2 door.
