Is a food storage area in a room with gas heating safe?

Hello. We are currently planning our new building and I would like to know if it is possible to store food, canned goods, and drinks in the room where a gas heater is installed. I imagine that wherever something is burned, tiny particles circulate in the air and settle on canned goods and so on. When opening, these could then get into the food. Does anyone here have experience with this? Maybe I'm just paranoid... ;)

Whether particles are released into the room during combustion I cannot say but I would not assume it. It is more likely that the room gets dirty when cleaning the heater. With packaged food I would not see any problems anyway since they are not that clean to begin with. If they do get additionally contaminated you can simply wipe the containers beforehand. Or you just cover them with a cloth or foil. I would rather wonder how warm the room gets.

I have no layer of dirt on the items in the utility room (with gas heating) I would rather be concerned about the transport route to the supermarket ... so none!

You barbecue? I mean, because of the soot particles??? [emoji848]

So the floor heaters in rental apartments are also often located in the kitchen. So it shouldn't really be a problem.

The installation (usually as a wall unit) of a gas boiler in the kitchen is not so uncommon and generally unproblematic (we ourselves had it like that for over a year).

A regularly maintained burner burns cleanly, the chimney sweep will also check that. Otherwise, there is still the chimney.

So, no problem at all...

As long as food is sold at gas stations ... ;-).
