Is a construction blog worthwhile?

Good evening! :)

At the moment, our excitement is growing (construction start spring `17) and I am reading more and more Baublogs. They are worth their weight in gold to us, since we have no builders among our friends. Since I also like to write, we are considering starting a Baublog ourselves.

Now we are wondering whether we should do it or not. Some home builders do it to exchange experiences. Others even have sponsors and probably a very good number of visitors. A little extra side income (in various forms) never really hurts - if you get that far.

My current thoughts are: time factor, exchange, haters/friends/acquaintances who find us, is it worth it, and so on.

If we were sitting together at the regulars' table now, what would be your answer? :)

Side job? It's probably more work to charm sponsors than the earnings. The big advantage is that you have documentation, since one forgets so much ;) Besides, you can show the existence of the blog to the disability insurance - this makes it act like leverage :) Greetings

Depends. If you feel like it, go ahead, but not because you want to earn something. You would really have to invest a lot of work and time, and it definitely wouldn't be worth it. Better to put more own effort into the house ;-)

But as a documentary, definitely a great thing. I'm thinking about it too. You could also ask a few other bloggers how they see it after they started. There are also some abandoned construction blogs ;-)

: The many abandoned blogs say a lot as well. It's really a pity. In the last few days, we have read some good tips from two good blogs and immediately made notes. Some are indeed useful.

I created my blog for friends and relatives who like to read it very much. I have it on Tumblr, so creating posts can be done directly from the smartphone in minimal time.

Address is in the profile.

Just do it and see if you stick with it or not. In the time you spend asking here, you’ve already written your first post. :-)
