It wasn’t like that for us during the grace period. Only once it was fully disbursed to us. This is also repeatedly communicated here in the forum.

No. If you draw down the loan according to the construction progress, you immediately pay interest on the amounts already paid out. With a favorable interest rate, these are only tiny amounts. These are pure interest, no repayment. Repayment begins after the loan has been fully disbursed.
One should not confuse this with the release interest. That would, if in doubt, come on top for the money not yet drawn.

That is completely normal and common practice. It's also called construction period interest.

Some small savings banks offer to "defer" the interest. However, it is not really deferred but simply added to the loan principal. You then have to repay it over time once the loan is fully disbursed.

In principle, it's like using an overdraft.
