Hello everyone,
we had a discussion today about storm damage. The question arose whether "normal" storm or the damage resulting from it can even be insured as long as the house is still under construction.
In the residential building insurance, it is explicitly stated that storm/hail damage is only covered once the building is ready for occupancy. However, the construction all-risk insurance only covers damage if an "unusually" strong storm occurs. A small amount of hail damage would therefore actually not be insurable. Can someone shed some light on this insurance issue?
