Hello everyone, my floor slab has a U-value of 0.357 W/m2K

My questions for the expert panel:
- How is the U-value to be assessed for a new building? Is it within the green range?
- What can I do to improve the U-value? The screed will also receive insulation that will be installed - what do you think about laying additional insulation mats under the parquet floor, good or unnecessary?

Many thanks for your answers.

Hello,

I don’t understand the question. It’s about a new building, right? You should be able to get everything from the planning…

The question is whether an additional insulation is sensible at the above-mentioned U-value.

Once again the counter-question: What does the planning say?
U-value of the base plate for the reference building = 0.35 (according to the Energy Saving Ordinance 2009) !!

If the requirements of DIN 4108-2 are met, it should be in the green range. However, in individual cases, further considerations can indeed be useful, such as: What percentage of the total transmission heat losses or total energy demand does the floor slab contribute with this U-value? Sometimes there are misinterpretations here. It is also not uninteresting whether the rooms above are heated or not. In addition, underfloor heating requires somewhat better insulation. More is not always actually better ;-) But sometimes necessary. Reduce the thermal conductivity of the component layers and/or increase the layer thickness. Best regards.
