Hello,
I am not an expert and before insulating my roof as described below, I would rather hear a few opinions on it.
For simplicity's sake, I am uploading a few pictures for better understanding.
In advance, I can get commercially available kitchen rolls very cheaply.
There is old glass wool insulation with aluminum foil between the rafters, which is only about 60mm thick. The kitchen rolls are simply pressed onto it and the 12mm OSB board (12mm for flexibility) is screwed to the rafters. (rafter thickness 160mm)
The visible OSB boards are sealed at the joints with Isover adhesive tape and thus act as the vapor barrier.
Additionally, I want to insulate the floor, possibly using 20mm Styropor and OSB boards.
Questions I have regarding the processing shown and described in the pictures are:
- Could mold occur?
- Is this forbidden from a fire protection point of view? Or are there roof insulations with similar easily flammable properties that are, however, quite common?
