Hello, I own a garden house and it has no basement. It stands on a concrete slab. Now I have checked once and there is the following structure: tar paper, a 6 cm thick wooden board, and laminate. Now I want to throw out all that stuff and insulate properly. What can I use for that?

Thank you in advance

Luca

Hi What is the goal of your action? I apologize if my question sounds a bit silly. In our garden house there is the lawn mower and if there is a heavy rain, then 20 people can continue to celebrate. Did you want to live there permanently and should it get a heating system? I ask for a brief clarification. Thank you very much

Hello, No, I do not want to live there permanently. But I want to celebrate the parties there over Christmas and New Year's Eve. Also spend time in the garden house on nice winter days. The house has 28 sqm and is electrically heated. It has a wooden brick structure and is sturdy. Maybe I will also add facade insulation in the summer. First of all the base slab. Thank you very much for the answers. Best regards Luca

Hi, In my opinion, your insulation efforts are pointless. This applies both to the floor and to the wall. If the floor isn't rotting, then just leave it as it is. BG

Thank you for your reply, but what does pointless mean?
Can you please explain that to me?
Thank you

I think the effort and the benefit are not proportional here. That is probably what the previous writer meant. A calculation might be helpful here.
