Installing curtains – looking for a solution that works permanently

Hello forum,
we have concrete ceilings with a height of 2.80 and would like to hang curtains on the window fronts measuring about 3.80 wide. We have already tried several ways to implement this. First with a metal rail, then with a two-part plastic rail. None of the solutions have worked well so far. The curtains could not be moved properly, got stuck in the rail, etc. We probably just did not use good components. Can someone here give me a tip on how to do this "properly," so that the curtains can be moved easily and glide as quietly as possible? It would also be good if not too much is visible on the ceiling, i.e. the rail/strip is very narrow. I already thank you for all the advice!

Look for example: at Silentgliss. There are many good manufacturers. Your problems read more like cheap components...

Even if you don’t believe it, Ikea has some at a good price. We still have the old version made of aluminum with rollers in the track. The new ones are only available in white as far as I know.

Ikea was included in the previous solutions and unfortunately that was not a good result for us. It was extremely jerky and loud.

They have rollers in the track, so it runs smoothly, at least with the sliding curtains.

What would you like?
Mounting on the wall or ceiling?
Rails or rods?
Loops or rollers/gliders or panel curtains for sliding?
One or two/three levels?
