Prefabricated houses often do not have this installation level. But in a timber frame or stud construction house, an installation level definitely makes sense. To achieve the same insulation effect of a timber frame house with bricks, the wall would also have to be thicker. And making slots in masonry is not exactly the best job either. I would rather choose an installation level. And the question of whether solid or timber construction is the wrong one here in this thread.

Hi,

Thanks, that explains it. If the wall remains at 36 cm even with an I-level, it is of course still significantly thinner than in solid houses.

Thanks for the answer, learned something new again!

Best regards,

Andreas
