Just did some handiwork... doesn't look like there's any anchoring. The "foot" with which the existing balcony is attached to the wall is just placed on the brick and screwed... and the screws aren't even long enough to go through the brick - unbelievable...
Well, it's that different. Massive brackets were always installed here, then insulated and plastered, and then everything was screwed onto the protruding bolts. So follow the advice from 11ant because this is not done properly.
