Hi,

I have installed a flush-mounted network socket (Telegärtner) in the bathroom. Does it have to go into the wall before the tiles? Theoretically yes, because I have to screw it to the empty box. But what if it should be broken, how do I replace it then? Take the tile out?

Regards,

The boxes are to be installed exactly like power outlets, that is, on the tile. To screw them in securely, simply use longer screws. Although a network connection in the bathroom is quite strange.

Alternatively, there are also can extensions. If these are installed beforehand, the tiler cannot cut the hole too small. What do you want to connect there? Regards, Andy

I don't know yet, but installing a socket afterwards would be the less favorable option.

The only sensible use would be a web radio. And WLAN is fine for that. You’re hardly going to set up a phone, server, or TV in the bathroom, are you?

Although, video on demand in the bathtub.... I hmm.

LCD TV in the mirror already exists.

Maybe in the future, the electric toothbrush or razor will also need a new update.
