Hello everyone,

I want to get the Framsta system, but I have to place it on the floor because I want more than 4 modules in height and according to the instructions, they must not be mounted on the wall.

Do I have to remove the baseboard for this? The bottom module has height-adjustable feet, so I can’t place it completely against the wall and now I don’t know exactly what I have to do.

How did you solve this or how would you solve it?

You mean, because of the baseboard, Framsta at the bottom does not quite reach the wall. 1st option: remove the baseboard at that spot. 2nd option: build a plinth (at the height of the baseboard) 3rd option: mount Framsta with a gap to the wall (bad if the wall is to be backlit).

Apparently, I will unfortunately have to cut the baseboard to the width of the Framsta modules. Do you have experience with removing baseboards? I have never done it before and therefore don't know exactly how to do it.

Depends on the baseboard.

The baseboard is a nailed wooden strip

Simply pry it off with a wide chisel or something similar. The strip may possibly break in the process. But if it's a rental apartment, a new one has to be put on anyway when moving out. Another option would be to use different feet, e.g. like those from Pax, in case the strip is not very thick. The feet are not attractive, but a cover for them could be easily crafted.
