Hello

now that almost everything is finished except for the bathroom, I have one more question.

In the bathroom, halogen spots are to be installed under the ceiling, which will be suspended by about 7 cm. The house is an old building and has a kind of straw-clay ceiling underneath. How does this affect the heat radiation, and what needs to be put under the ceiling so that it does not start to burn?

Best regards

Maik

For some time now on the market is the quickly mountable and heat-resistant protective cover for recessed spotlights. The protective cover serves as safety for thermal and electrical insulation and can be installed without concern in solid materials. The cover is windproof and ensures active fire protection.

The six point five centimeter high housing of the protective cover is made of silicone, has a U-shape with an approximately one point five centimeter high thread at the end, is windproof and heat-resistant. The cover allows tool-free quick installation, even afterwards. Remove the leg springs from the housing of the spotlight on the left and right and press the protective cover onto the housing of the approximately 30° swiveling recessed spotlight. Then slowly move the spotlight housing with the mounted protective cover upwards, pressing the protective cover all the way up, and done. The heat-resistant silicone protective cover is also suitable for easily breakable materials such as gypsum board, insulation, and fiberboard due to the thread. Advantage: Can be installed afterwards, totally heat-resistant and windproof plus enormous time savings through seconds-fast assembly.

I know the press release, only:

...can be installed without hesitation in massive material.

...reduce the risk of inflammation enormously

...ensures active fire protection.

Active fire protection consists of defensive fire protection measures,
i.e. when there is a fire!

What remains besides marketing?

Quote product description:
Do not use Cool Beam bulbs.
Bulbs up to 35 watts.

What has been tested here by VDE or TÜV I cannot see on the homepage. Nor do I see any test marks like on an electrical device.
