Install a low-level shower afterwards?

Good day dear sanitary experts,

In front of me lies the project of my life, and among other things, both the guest WC and the bathroom need to be completely renovated. I will need advice not only here...

At the moment I am wondering whether it is possible to install a low-level shower afterwards. I would prefer an ultra-thin shower tray to tiling, for example from Kaldewei (because of hygiene...). However, the shower should be very large, 170 x 90 cm, with a large, free glass panel (about 120 cm) in front, wall on the right and left, behind a slant with a window. If the shower tray is set into the suitable substructure, about 12 cm of concrete would have to be evenly broken out. I assume that this is quite unrealistic .

What options do I have? Can the shower trays also be installed without embedding so that only the rear area has to be broken up for the drain? If not with a shower tray, can a tiled floor with a channel be realized? Who has experience? Anything on this topic could be helpful...

Best regards

E.

I recommend the bathroom check.

A bathroom professional comes to your home free of charge and without obligation, even if they do not receive a paid job afterward. Many of these bathroom craftsmen also offer assembly support for DIYers.

Although I run the site myself, since everything is free and is only intended to help end customers, it is not "advertising" in the true sense.

Good day,

this is certainly a well-intended offer, but since we will definitely not hire an external craftsman and I live in the countryside, I cannot reconcile that with my conscience. I had hoped that someone is specifically familiar with [Bette-Floor] and could recommend a link or share their own experience.

Best regards

E.

Why do you not want to hire an "external" craftsman, for example to order the products (which are often just as cheap with craftsmen as elsewhere) or even just for assembly support - since you apparently need the latter, otherwise you wouldn’t be posting here and asking many questions? A craftsman can answer your questions definitively and not just give non-binding tips that could possibly lead to expensive damages.

Okay, I'll see how far we get. The renovation starts with heating and windows first... Anyway, many thanks!
