Hello, we have a table tennis table and would like to play on the lawn. Now the lawn already suffers a lot if you play for a longer time. Are there ways to protect the lawn? Maybe grass grids help so that you don’t step directly on the lawn all the time, or how have you solved this problem?

This is normal and unavoidable. Use the lawn and at the end of the season or in spring it will be properly maintained. Why do you have a lawn then? Concrete slab and artificial turf would be the alternative That is not a problem.

Unfortunately a "either-or" decision. Grass grids also look stupid when you constantly see the grids. Temporarily setting up a wooden deck each time would of course be possible, but seems rather laborious. Is there a driveway into which the slab can be slid?

Just position the plate a little differently from time to time.

Would leave out the table tennis table, then the lawn will look good again

A driveway is possible too, but then I would have to move the cars out, which is also somewhat complicated. Well, you can also just temporarily lay down the grass grids when playing.
