Ikea Uppleva Sound System on an Ikea Hemnes

Hello everyone, I have a Hemnes TV bench with a width of 148cm in which I would like to integrate a Uppleva sound system. There are pictures of it on the internet, but you can't buy it either directly from Ikea or on the common internet portals.

Does anyone perhaps know why this is the case? Was it only available in Southeast Asia, or what could be the reason?

And does anyone have a secret tip on how to get hold of it?

Hello, you don't stand a chance. The HEMNES TV benches for the UPPLEVA sound system were 183 cm and 124 cm wide. Your HEMNES compartments are too narrow.

I have a Hemnes TV bench with 2 drawers, it is about 110 cm wide

Was there a special version of this TV bench?

Yeah, the HEMNES TV bench was 110 cm wide before IKEA had sound systems in their range.

I have always based myself on illustrations, but I wouldn’t have come up with the idea like that. So, that you change a piece of furniture in order to sell an accessory that cannot be used by owners of existing models. Cleverly done, I would say.

I don't think that was the intention. The devices were designed for Besta. Consumer electronics is not really IKEA's main business, so you can never expect a large product variety, especially one that is specific to individual pieces of furniture.
