A little tip for all Berliners (especially at Ikea Tempelhof). I came across it by chance yesterday because I wanted my stuff delivered immediately. They deliver your purchase to you the same day. It only took 2 hours. Great service .... why doesn't Ikea offer something like this?

two hours is of course unbeatable. But IKEA delivers or ships items through third parties. I had the cowhide armchair sent to my office before Christmas, I think it cost just under 10€. I think that's a fair price. I would have spent that much on gas if I had picked it up myself – not to mention the time.

That's right. IKEA ships goods via an external carrier who, however, is located internally within the company.
Therefore, IKEA has nothing to do with the transport.

The thing with the 10 € and the transport via third parties somehow doesn't fit with Ikea Tempelhof. Because Ikea or, for that matter, this third-party company that is located in the building charges a minimum of 29 €. And they don't do it on the same day!

Yes, that’s true. Minimum 29 euros. In the past, they used to deliver on the same day (about 2 years ago or so), but that was only for a short time. Now there’s no such thing, but the price has stayed the same. 29 euros.

large items are more expensive. I bought the mentioned cowhide armchair before Christmas in the online shop and had it delivered. It came with DHL, UPS, Hermes, or one of those companies, I honestly can’t remember. It goes without saying that it takes a few days and is not done within two hours.
