IKEA oven

Hello,

unfortunately my oven at home has given up the ghost and now I need a new one. Has anyone had experience with the Ikea oven DÅTID OV M01 AN? I have read that the series has a special interior coating for easy cleaning. Cleaning was hell with my old appliance. Despite oven cleaner and long exposure time, you still had to scrub a lot. Will this coating save me from that??

I don’t have THAT one, but another oven from IKEA and I am totally satisfied with it!

According to the product features for the oven you selected, the thing has "katalytischen Emailbleche" which to me means that the SHEETS are easy to clean, right? Or are the inner walls also called sheets?!
I think for the price of 270,- you unfortunately don’t get a "self-cleaning" oven.

Improved heat-insulated oven door: an effective ventilation system directs room air between the two glass layers and cools the door.
Oven door with child-safe lock for increased safety in the kitchen.
Smooth glass on the inside of the oven door; the door can be removed for cleaning.
Oven for flexible cooking; 5 functions can be combined for different cooking methods - from defrosting to a good baking result.
Hot air: even heat supply; practical for sponge cakes, cakes and other pastries.
Turbo grill; allows grilling, browning and thoroughly roasting larger pieces of meat.
Defrost function with fan; for quick, hygienic defrosting.
Top/bottom heat and grill function. Practical for crispy dishes, stewing or even grilling of vegetables and smaller pieces of meat.
Oven with catalytic enamel sheets; easy to keep clean as fat splashes burn off upon contact with the hot catalytic enamel surface.
At the end of the set cooking time, a mechanical bell rings and the oven switches off automatically.
Cooling fan - protects against overheating.

Otherwise I can only say: THIS one cleans (almost) by itself: NUTID OVN 900 S

in any case, if I were you, I would take a look at ikea, until the weekend there is still the knutfest where there is a 20% discount on electrical appliances, which also includes ovens.

I now have my new IKEA oven. For cost reasons, it became the DÅTID OV M01. Looks sleek. A friend is coming over soon and then the good piece will be connected to electricity and the first test run started.

I have already gotten a recipe for chocolate cookies. I can’t bake, but it is supposed to be properly inaugurated. Going to make a proper mess and put the easy-care surface to the test.

yes, I christened the oven. Delicious chocolate cookies! They can't quite compare to mom's at home (then again, it was a ready mix - welcome excuse :rolleyes: ) but they were all eaten up the same evening.
