IKEA Laxarby fronts in white, availability

Hello,

I have spent the last two months planning my new Metod kitchen in great detail with the IKEA Laxarby fronts in white.
Today I wanted to place an order, but unfortunately the online shop is acting completely crazy when I try to order the Laxarby fronts in white...

Does anyone happen to know if these Laxarby fronts are no longer available, or what is going on?
In my opinion, they were by far the most beautiful fronts, I definitely wanted to have them...

Laxarby is being discontinued. I was at Ikea in December and wanted to order a kitchen with Laxarby fronts, but they no longer had all sizes in stock at the central warehouse.

I ended up with GRYTNÄS, although that seems to be discontinued now as well. Instead, there is now "Sävedal", which looks very similar. That can be very frustrating. I still mourn Kroktorp..

I find that very unfortunate - especially since I was at Ikea two weeks ago and the kitchen planner there told me that I still have time until at least June, as the catalog is valid until then...

Now I have to look for other fronts instead of Laxarby fronts, but a laminated kitchen is out of the question. The only alternative would be Bodbyn, but I am still unsure whether the fronts are too busy for an open-plan kitchen.

Is there any hope that a successor to Laxarby will be added to the range again soon?

Does anyone happen to have experience with fronts from third-party vendors?

I find "SM white shaker," category B3, quite interesting. It would definitely be worth the price for me, but they don't ship to Europe.
Does anyone know of any alternatives?

Hello, with third-party providers like beptum, pokorny, schnitt-stelle.com etc., I have only seen foil-coated or melamine fronts so far. Veddinge is not foil-covered and is calmer than BODBYN.

Simon, then we can shake hands on that. I also planned my new "dream kitchen" at Ikea with the Laxarby front earlier this year. When I wanted to order two days later... everything was gone. When I inquired at Ikea, I received the painful answer that it was discontinued. Of course, I was also very disappointed, especially since the only (for me) alternative, Gryntnäs, was also discontinued at the same time. I also cannot understand how such a beautiful front can be taken out of the program, especially since the kitchen is still available, but in black. Who on earth puts a black kitchen in their apartment? Yes, I am also now considering whether there is an alternative or if I should even carve the fronts out of wood myself. It can't be that difficult to saw boards to size. For that alone, you would need the correct dimensions, and for example, how the drawer fronts are attached to the pull-outs. @Simon, have you come up with a solution by now?

Meanwhile, I am still sitting on my moving boxes... :-/
This time, I am really very disappointed with Ikea. It is really a shame that more and more wooden furniture, what once stood for Ikea, is being taken out of the program. Even if here it was only the front of the kitchen. But at least it still had some wood.
