Ikea Kvartal + Ceiling Mounting / Rail is shifting

Hello!

Following question:
I have mounted a single-run Kvartal with the spacers on the ceiling.
.... tightened the grub screws. The rail is hanging.... but it can be moved in the holders.

Did I overlook something?

Hello,

first of all: I am not using any Kvartal rails. If you have only inserted the mushroom-shaped inserts for the ceiling mounting, the rail should remain movable. You should achieve the fixation via the screwed connection pieces (even if you are installing only a single rail) – just push them in completely.

... you mean as a stop in the track? Then I would need two.

the instructions read as if two connectors are supplied. But even if there is only one, that should be enough to secure the rail against lateral shifting.

My KVARTAL can also be shifted, but that has never been a problem. It does not shift by itself.
