IKEA Klippan Sofa, old version, new version, assembly accessories

My problem: I bought a used KLIPPAN sofa. Then a new cover at Ikea. According to the instructions, I am supposed to push tubes into the loops of the cover and then attach them to the underside of the Klippan. According to the instructions, Klippan is open on the bottom. Unfortunately, mine is not. It is completely closed by a black cover with about 5 million staples. Did I get an old Klippan, did it look different in the past? And these tubes anyway? Can you buy them individually at IKEA? I have already called there, but apart from a computer hotline voice that did not want to transfer me to a person for clarification in any menu, I have achieved nothing!

Sounds just like you bought the KLIPPAN predecessor. Try directly at IKEA. Somewhere on the sofa there is a sticker with the name and/or article number. Also a 4-digit number that looks something like this: 0913. That means manufacturing year 2009 in calendar week 13. Take that to IKEA. Maybe you can still order something from it. But I don't have much hope for you.
