Hello,

I am really at a loss by now. Maybe someone here can help me. I bought the 2.5-seater Klamby sofa at Ikea quite a while ago (about 5 years). Unfortunately, it is no longer available in the range and now the cover has torn. I have already looked everywhere on the internet, but unfortunately found no covers.

The 2.5-seater Klamby sofa from back then is now only available under the name "Säter" at Ikea, but there are no covers for it since it is a brown leather sofa. In terms of dimensions, it is exactly the same.

I have also visited BEMZ, saustarkdesign.com, etc. There are no covers for the Klamby sofa.

Can anyone help me? I still really like the sofa and don’t actually want to buy a new one, but unfortunately, it doesn’t work with the broken cover. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I'll try once again with the not very successful suggestion to undo the seams of the old cover and use the pieces as a pattern. Do it yourself.

Thank you for the reply! Do you think there is really still hope in my case?

This is what a Klamby sofa looks like after you slide your butt around on it, not knowing that there is a broken metallic button on the back of your pants with a small sharp point sticking out. (No idea how that could have happened)

Oh... it’s so frustrating!

There is nothing to save there, but if you buy fabric and cut it according to the old fabric pieces, you can sew new covers for yourself. Or you buy a well-preserved complete sofa like in the ad. The cover alone wouldn’t be cheaper.

Is the underside made of a different fabric?

Oh, that's what you mean.... that would be an option, but I would need to know someone with sewing experience. I don't trust myself to do it. I check Ebay Classifieds every day to see if someone is selling their Klamby sofa. That has happened before, but unfortunately I didn't win the bid. I wanted him to send me just the cover. Someone else ended up picking up the whole sofa. And yes, the underside is made of a different fabric. I guess I'll have to resign myself to buying something new. The Karlstad 3-seater sofa looks similar to mine. I think I'll get that and this time with an extra cover as a spare.

I have already considered just buying a "Karlstad" connection. Maybe that will also fit.
