IKEA Kivik sofa extremely stain-sensitive

I received my wonderful living room set from Ikea yesterday. IKEA Kiwik in a very beautiful dark red. Very nice large couch, fits perfectly in my living room. Everyone was thrilled.

However, the excitement was gone after a few minutes. After assembling it, I sat down once to try it out and bam, the whole Kivik sofa was covered with white spots. In the evening, after showering, I sat on it in somewhat more comfortable clothes. More white spots appeared.

I would guess that these are water/sweat stains. Is the Kiwik couch really that sensitive? Unfortunately, I cannot rule out that one might sweat sometimes living in an attic apartment. Has anyone had similar experiences? Is this normal? How can I clean it? I'm already afraid to approach it with water.

strange. Without knowing where the stains come from, it is of course difficult. Nobody sat on it who had something stuck to their clothes? Which Kivik sofa do you have? Fabric or leather? For leather, there is leather care that can be bought cheaply everywhere; fabric covers can be put in the washing machine.

My sweaty dark T-shirts also have white edges when they are dry again. If that is the case, the stains should taste salty...

Seems to be due to the fabric. I have the same with my Norsborg with fabric Finnsta dark grey. These appear to be shading that occurs when you have sat on it. A few strokes back and forth and the "spots" are gone. It bothers me a bit too, so I laid a plaid over the seating area. It also protects the fabric at the same time, which can't hurt. Certainly not the intention, but I can live with it.
